  You can just use a multimeter and squeeze the probes and measure resistance in ohms and get similar result. If you are keen you can make some short copper pipes for your hands and connect them to it.

  Multimeter can be had for £10.

  Emeter = £1000s

  Rayonex PS1000 = £1000s

  And of course you will NEED special very expensive 'training' to be able to use the quack devices. Things that make you go hmmm.

  The guy who was jailed for fraud selling fake bomb detectors was doing exactly this kind of thing, selling worthless cheap gimmicky golf ball detectors that are just fancy dowsing rods that have no working parts and repackaging them into very expensive and sophisticated bomb detectors and convincing the hapless and desperate that they worked.

  If I told you that your £10 multimeter could detect illness and cancer let alone say it can cure it you would think i was nuts, if I told you your £10 multimeter can detect alien ghosts you should also think I was nuts. If I sold them for £1000s then you should consider me a fraudster.

  Hubble deep field photograph

  i have always found the hubble deep field photograph, apparently hubbles most important photograph, very interesting.. for those of you who don't know, it's a long exposure or series of long exposures taken over many months of an otherwise completely empty and black region of space.. i was reading some info on it from the uk physicist brian cox, and he explains another dimension to it.. when you look at the deep field photograph, you are seeing a true 3d picture.

  each galaxy in the picture are vast distances apart.

  some relatively near, some almost the entire edge of the galaxy away.

  i've had excuses sometimes, but not others, so my parents are definitely getting that this is more than a long bout of illnesses or fatigue.

  i just received an email invitation to join them in service this weekend.

  is it possible that someone has a jw friend who's very active in the congregation, knows you don't believe it anymore, and is still your friend?

  i'm at the point where word is getting out that i'm not going to meetings anymore, and friends ask me if they'll be seeing me at the ca and i tell them i'm not going.

  they want to know why, and what they can do to encourage me.

  I've been disowned by my so called friends.

  Not a single phone call from anyone within my circle of friends apart from one 2 memorials ago to invite me out for a drink with two mates, one being a young elder the other an MS, the drink and chat etc was all a bit forced and basically boiled down to an effort to encourage me to return topped with an obligatory offhand memorial invite at the end. I said I wasnt planning on going, which was an ultimate conversation killer.

  I chose not to say anything about why I'd stopped going, but did near the end when it was obvious they were avoiding the subject ask them point blank if they wanted to know, ....and they didnt. The elephant is in the room!

  Friendship is entirely conditional. It's a cult.
